Pause Fest 2015

Along with my work buddy Sophie, we worked together to create the first instalment of Digital Design at the Crossroads... Here's a brief recap.

It’s Saturday, 14th February. Valentine’s Day. Lovers of Digital Design congregate in the impressive Deakin Edge to hear from a star-studded panel of experts within the digital design landscape at this year’s Pause Fest.

First up Mark Pullyblank on our Pause Fest lineup, superstar animator extraordinaire who jetted in specially from California to deliver a keynote speech all about peddling enthusiasm and reverting back to our childlike selves in order to become more creative and more satisfied.

That lead us perfectly into a Pause Fest panel session involving Jess Scully (Vivid Ideas), Prue Jones (DTDigital), Tim Kotsiakos (Reactive), James Noble (Carter Digital), Nick Gower (Mentally Friendly) and David Trewern (DTDigital and Republica). The session focussed on how traditional design and creativity is evolving in today’s technology driven world, what skills are required to succeed and UX versus Design.
